Winter fun for all the family! Tobogganing has a long tradition in South Tyrol. Armin Zöggeler, multiple world and Olympic champion, is the best known luger in the country! All five winter sports resorts in the Meran region take pains to keep their toboggan runs in top condition; this is a sport for all ages. Part of the fun of a real tobogganing experience is the ascent to the top of the run, on foot and the convivial get-together at one of the lodges en route. Here you can also rent toboggans. Nocturnal revellers can enjoy moonlight tobogganing on the floodlit runs. For families the sunny natural toboggan runs are most popular, while experienced racers prefer the artificial ice runs South Tyrol has to offer.
